Athens, 23 May 2024 — Flisvos Marina successfully carried out its annual marine pollution response drill, as part of the risk management training program established and implemented by LAMDA Flisvos Marina S.A., aiming to minimize the environmental impact of such incidents.
The primary objectives of the drill were to assess staff readiness, verify the adequacy of available equipment, and evaluate the effectiveness of marine environmental protection procedures to ensure a swift and successful response to pollution events.
Flisvos Marina operates under a certified Integrated Management System for Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Protection, in accordance with the international standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015.
The drill was executed by the Flisvos Marina response team in collaboration with the pollution control company Technical Protection of the Environment S.A., and with the use of the anti-pollution vessel AKTEA.
The operation was overseen by:

Lieutenant Commander Anna Sarli, Head of the Saronic Port Authority,
Lieutenant Commander Ioannis Faltsetas, Commander of the 1st Flisvos Port Department.
Additionally, in attendance from the Saronic Coast Guard’s Police Division were Lieutenant Commander Maria-Eleni Sarra and Lieutenant Commander Vasileios Plevris.
