What about third-party websites?

The Website provides access to third party websites through appropriate links. These links are intended solely for the convenience of Users of the Website, while the websites to which they refer are subject to their respective Terms of Use and Privacy Notices. The use of third-party links on the Website is not a sign of approval or acceptance of the content of the respective websites by the webmaster, who does not bear any responsibility for their content nor about the privacy practices or the accuracy of the material thereto. The "Company" has no control over the third-party websites assessed by this Website or their content and therefore the "Company" does not support, finance, advise or otherwise accept any responsibility for these websites or their content. If the User decides to access, through the Website links, any of the third-party websites, he/she undertakes full responsibility for doing so.

Does the website use "cookies"?

In addition to what is mentioned at the beginning of the Statement, the "Company" may collect User Identification data from the Website using relevant technologies such as cookies and / or Internet Protocol (IP) address tracking. Cookies are small text files stored on each User's hard disk, without accessing any document or file from their computer. Cookies are used to facilitate User access to specific services and / or Website areas, for statistical purposes and to determine the areas that are useful or popular.
Two types of cookies are used on this Website:

(a) "browsing" cookies - these are temporary cookies that remain in the browser’s cookies folder for as long as the User is browsing the Website and
(b) "persistent" cookies - they remain in the browser cookie folder for longer periods (although the cookie retention depends on the lifetime of that cookie).

Browsing cookies are used to improve User experience on the Website and to collect aggregated statistical information. The aggregated statistical information is used for purposes of internal use only by the Company and will not be provided to third parties.
Persistent cookies are used to store information on the User's computer for a variety of purposes, indicatively for the retrieval of specific information previously provided by the User (e.g., password details), for the determination of Website areas that Users find more interesting and for the configuration of the Website according to User preferences.
These data may also include the User's type of browser, the type of computer, the operating system, online service providers and other relevant information.
In addition, the Website Information System automatically collects information about the Websites visited by the User and about the links to third-party websites the User may access. The User may set up his web browser in such a way to either warn him/her of any use of cookies on specific services or prohibit the use of cookies under no circumstances. If the User of these services and webpages does not accept cookies that permit his / her identification, he / she may no longer have access to these services.
Each User's computer receives an IP address whenever accessing the Internet. By using the IP address, the User's computer can receive and send data. Generally, whenever the User connects to the Internet, the User's IP address is changed. However, under certain conditions (e.g. with some broadband connections) the IP address of the User becomes static.
A static IP address can be associated with that particular User's computer and can therefore lead to User's personal information. Weblog information is non-personal information collected by the computer hosting the Website whenever a User access it. Examples of the type of information that can be collected using an IP address and / or web log information include details of the date and time of the Website access, the type of browser and computer operating system used.
The "Company", or its authorized representatives, use the User's IP address or web log information to collect and report aggregated information on how the Website is used and how it can be improved.
