Continuing its 20-year journey, Flisvos Marina releases detailed ESG performance highlights
Flisvos Marina has published its 5th Annual Sustainability Report, showcasing its continued commitment to sustainable development and responsible business practices. The report outlines the Marina’s strategy and performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas for the year.
From its very first day of operation, sustainability has been a strategic pillar of Flisvos Marina. Embracing innovative and smart technologies, the Marina strives to create long-term value for its customers, tenants, visitors, and all its stakeholders. This strong commitment to sustainability and innovation earned Flisvos Marina 1st prize in the “Smart & Sustainable Marina” international competition held at the Monaco Yacht Club in September 2022.
The Marina’s sustainability strategy focuses on several key areas, including:
Efficient energy management and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
Responsible waste management and contribution to the circular economy
Protection of the environment and biodiversity
Continuous monitoring of water quality and proper water resource management
Care and safety for employees, customers, and visitors
Among the most significant achievements of Flisvos Marina this year:
100% of electricity consumption came from renewable energy sources
48% reduction in marine pollution incidents
100% compliance with national water quality standards for swimming water
Zero recorded accidents within the Marina
Expansion of electromobility infrastructure through the installation of EV charging stations
Furthermore, for another consecutive year, Flisvos Marina organized a series of awareness-raising initiatives focused on environmental protection and biodiversity, promoting sustainability within the marine tourism sector in Greece.
The report has been prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards and the AA1000AP (2018) principles of accountability. It has also undergone independent external assurance by TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD).
